Thank you to
oracleholly for the sweet e-card, and thank you to
sandy_s for the lovely package!! I loved everything hon. Especially the Candy Apple hand soap (smells so yummy!), and the Chicken Poop lip balm (contains no actual poop). :P *squishes you* I mailed your's out on Wed. so you should get it any day now.
I had a lovely Christmas, loads of fun, but it has wiped me out! We had the family Christmas eve party, then we had gift opening at the in-laws, we didn't get home until after midnight. Then Christmas morning, I got up, began cooking our contribution to the Christmas potluck at my Mom's. We traveled to visit my Mom, then we came home and hubby, baby dogs, and I opened our gifts to each other. Whew!
The day after Christmas I hit the stores for the marked down Christmas decorations. I decided this year to change my theme from primitive wooden (lots of snowmen), and rusted Christmas ornaments and decor - to silver, white, and crystal ornaments and decor (lots of snowflakes). The bug to change things out was so bad, I acutally removed all my decorations off of my tree and began adding new ornaments as I picked them up on sale here and there. So, I'm the dork who decorated their tree twice and progessively at that. *facepalm* At least I've got plenty of shiny new ornaments for next year. I even picked up a new tree skirt and stockings for me, hubby, and the baby dogs that fit the new theme, and all of it was 50% off, so yay!
Then yesterday I wanted to take it all down. So I took down all my Christmas decor and then just to wear myself out a bit more - tackled moving my furniture in my living room for no good reason. Hubby thinks I'm crazy. I think he's right. I don't know how long I'll leave it like it is, I caught myself measuring furniture pieces vs. spaces again this morning. That's a sure sign that I'm not completely content with the current arrangement. Oh joy.
I had hoped that I'd feel like making a New Year's icon set, but it's not happening. I'm too tapped out to concentrate right now. I'm doing well to post coherent thoughts at this point. Hopefully, after the New Year, things will settle down and I'll be able to recharge properly. I think I've been slightly off my game since I was sick in November, then with the holidays coming so close together, I've not really had time to regroup. I think that is going to be my first priority in the New Year. I'm going to give myself permission to relax, and make the time to do it. No projects, no insane domestic goddess bruhaha. *nods*
Before I go and contemplate being a vegetable. Here's a meme I snorfled from
angstchic .
