Hello, hello!

I've had a couple emails (thanks  ladyforash& opalescence_), and a nudge (thanks jules1278) just to see if I was still kicking! I'm alive and well. Things have been busy, but other than that everything is good. :) 

I hope that you are having fun with the brush set, sunbrae. ;)

I had a good weekend, starting off with shopping and dinner Friday night with angstchic. Then yesterday, enjoying a phone call with first, angstchic, and then a big honkin' 4 hour! phone conversation with rikki_oko! I lurve my girls! Speaking of which, rikki_okoposted Chapter 6 of her FABULOUS season 2 Spuffy fic, Downward Spiral. I'm totally loving this story, and can.not.get.enough!!!

Oh, oh!! A huge thank you to whoever nommed 2 of my icons for the Best Icon category at Sunnydale Fanart Awards! *squee* I don't know who you are, but you're a sweetheart! *hugs*

I've been really busy on the domestic goddess front, spring cleaning, and preparing for the upcoming installation of new carpeting and flooring. (YAY!!) I'm looking forward to the finished product, but dread the 3 day upheaval that the installation will be causing. That will be a *fun* week. NOT! :P

Another household thing that I've accomplished is purchasing a new mattress. Our previous mattress was over 10 years old, and needed to be replaced.  Hubby and I selected a Sealy Posturpedic TrueForm (memory foam) mattress, and it was finally delivered today. I'm looking forward to sleeping on it tonight and seeing what we think. I'm sitting on it right now typing this entry and it is extremely comfortable. I'm also pleased with the lack of movement transfered to the rest of the mattress when I get up or move around. That in itself should help I, hubby, & the baby dogs sleep better. ;)

Spring has sprung around here. We've been experiencing unseasonably warm weather (about 10 degrees above norm) and bountiful amounts of pollen, which naturally, coats everything in sight. Yeee-uck. I'm hoping we get some rain this week to help wash most of it away. I'm always glad when that stage of Spring passes. At least I get to enjoy all the new growth and blooms of my Spring flowers! My Azaleas are doing beautifully, as are the pansies I planted in the fall. Even the pansies the deer nibbled are blooming again, yay!

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm hopefully going to be around a bit more, I've been missing my flist, and LJ and ICONNING!! *gasp* ;) I'm sure I'll have to be away during the flooring/carpeting installation, but that should be a few weeks away. 

Oh, isn't LOST fracking AMAZING!!! Zomg, I spend every Wed. episode *glued* to the telly. :P

I just posted a batch of WriterCon 2006 icons. I've started working on some Veronica Mars icons, but seem to be having trouble being inspired.
Creativity can be a fickle thing. ;) 

Other than the normal working/domestic goddess duties life has been pretty normal around here. I did manage to get in a couple of fairly lengthy phone calls in with angstchic & rikki_oko which is always much fun.

I hope everyone else has had a nice weekend too! I'm off to finally watch my Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD...it'll be the first time I've seen it, so I'm looking forward to it!
