Hey peeps! I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas!! Hubby, Baby Dogs, and I had a great time in Atlanta w/SIL, MIL, and FIL! We even got to see snow on Christmas Day!! We were driving back home, but still it was soooooo pretty. *happy sigh*

Thanks so much to angstchic , rikki_oko , danaid_luv , psubrat , amoonchilde , beanbeans , ladyforash , kskitten ,and  opalescence_ . For the gifts, goodies, photos, and cards. I <3 you all!

Hubby was wonderful enough to get me the big ticket item on my wish list this year. A 32" flat screen TV for the master bedroom. w00t!!! I love it! I had to laugh though, because when he brought in the box (though wrapped) it was more than obvious what it was. We both just cracked up over it being such a *not* surprise. Hee!

Really good news on my Aunt who underwent brain surgery. She's at home now and recovering nicely! We talked with her on the phone the other day, and she sounded really good. She is so relieved that it's over with, and that everything went so well. We're all very happy about her recovery. Once again thank you to everyone for the kind comments and prayers.

Work is busy insane and will be until after New Years. Don't get me wrong. I love the holidays, but I'll be thankful to have our normal (and less hectic) routine back. Traveling for Christmas this year made it extra crazy, so that explains why I'm extra worn out! :P

I'm planning on leaving the tree up until the weekend of New Years, then I'll take it down. I'm going to leave  my snowman/snowflake decorations up through January though. Maybe they will bring some real snow my way, hey, a girl can hope!!

In the midst of running around like a nut doing last minute OMGI'MGOINGTOJAPAN things, (my flight leaves at 6 in the morning) I wanted to pop in and say thank you to everyone for the kind birthday shout-outs, wishes, gifts, and cards. I'm a very lucky girl to have such awesome friends in RL, and here in LJ land. :)

I'll try to post pics and possibly even update while I'm in Japan if at all possible!

I'm having hard drive issues, and will be dealing with repairs and such - but am falling back on my old laptop till I can get my new one fixed. So at least I won't be totally cut off from the internet. Perish the thought! Have been scarce due to FB games eating my brain, but I think that I'm finally in a place where I can wean pace myself. :P

Quick drive-by-type update...

- Thank you to angstchic  for the paid LJ time! You're the best bff, like ever. :D

- Have been super busy along with Hubby tackling spring outdoor projects. Must strike when the iron is hot, translation: Work his buns off before turkey hunting season obsession kicks in. Oh yes, with age comes wisdom *nods sagely*

- Have finished watching S1 of 24 with hubby, and have begun watching S2. All hail the power of Bauer. :P

- Still watching Dollhouse. Excited about tonight's episode, as angstchic  said this was the first one that should be Joss-flavored.

- Missed the first episode of Castle. Recorded the second episode, but haven't watched it yet. Even so, yay for Nathan Fillion.

- I miss LJ. I miss all of you. I miss making icons. I'm hoping that once projects are wrapped up, and Hubby falls into hunting vortex...I'll be able to get back into the swing of things.

Watching Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi, which for some strange reason, relaxes me. It's pretty much become my Wed. night ritual. Yay for Jason, Grant, Steve, and Tango!

Thanks to everyone for the lovely birthday wishes!! I tried to thank everyone personally, but I may have missed someone. I have the kindest, and warmest flist. I'm thankful for all of you. *hugs*

Had a good week, mostly because I was able to work in phone calls with some of my good friends here on LJ. Monday night I had a wonderful chat with psubrat. She is such a sweetie. (I hope you're feeling better, hon.)  The great news is, it looks like she's going to be able to visit angstchic and I in early April. *squeee!* 

Tuesday I was fortunate enough to have a lovely call with beanbeans, who is so easy and fun to chat with. She's a real treasure. I also got in a great (and really loooong) phone call with danaid_luv who is so incredibly funny and warm. *hugs them both*

I managed to get a short but sweet chat with the lovely marsterslady on Thursday. Plus, she sent me an adorable card with a beautiful cross-stitch bookmark. It has yellow roses on it, and it is simply lovely. Thank you, so much, dear. You're a wonderful friend.

This week angstchic and I had more than one entertaining phone call thrown in for good measure. I'm really blessed to have such wonderful friends. I love them all to bits!!
