Off To Canada!
May. 24th, 2004 09:40 amWe piled into 3 cars and headed off to Niagara Falls.
Car 1 = Me, and my Aunt & Uncle.
Car 2 = MIL, other 2 Aunts.
Car 3 = SIL & boyfriend.
Right off the bat my Aunt & Uncle annoyed each other...so when we stopped for lunch we had a bit of a chinese fire drill, and switched passengers. New seating chart:
Car 1 = Me, and my Aunt & other Aunt.
Car 2 = MIL, other Aunt, my Uncle.
Car 3 = SIL & boyfriend.
So off we go, following Car 2 since my Uncle supposedly knows where to go. We are following, and some time later, we see a huge sign stating "Niagara Falls Keep Right". Watch in amazement as car number 2 sails right past the exit. My Aunt makes panicked grab for elusive cell phone, hiding in the recesses of her purse. Phone is found, call is made. Much yelling ensues. 5 miles later we finally find another exit and everyone turns around. Keep eyes peeled for Niagara exit. 10 miles later realize that there wasn't one on this side of highway. Turn around again and this time we lead.
Finally make it safe and sound to Niagara Falls. Whew!
Aunt & Uncle still aren't speaking, but we get checked into our rooms...and go sight seeing...by dinner time all was well again. Ah, they joys of family vacations. ;)
