A hunting we will go

Be vewy qwiet....I'm hunting wabbits. Actually, not wabbits, but deer. *sigh* it is time for my annual hunting trip with the hubby. I don't know why but he loves for me to go, even though all I do is take a book and read in the stand with him. I have to admit, it is cute how he gets all excited when I plan on going with him. He gets all happy to see me in my little camo boots, and stuff. He's silly, and adorable. :)

Yeah, the weather was wild! When we headed out to the stand after lunch, it was a balmy 74 degrees. In less than 5 minutes, the temp dropped 16 degrees! By the time we left to go home it had dropped a total of 30 degrees in just a few hours. Weird! Luckily even though it rained steadily, we stayed warm and dry. He has a condo-style deer stand...so no worries. :)

Well if your weather was anthing like here in DC (65-70) he should have gotten something.

Well, it was cold and rainy after the freak temp drop...but we saw several deer and a bobcat. He got a good shot at a large buck, but it ran into the woods. After we waited for 30 minutes or so to go and look for it, it had gotten so dark it was impossible to see anything in the thickets. He is going back with some friends at daybreak to see if they can find it. Keep your fingers crossed!
