I hope everyone has a nice day today, couples, singles, everyone! *hugs f-list, and gives everyone virtual flowers*

I got off the phone with angstchic not to long ago, and she had just heard from rikki_oko. The news is much better about her Dad. He is awake, responsive, and progressing a little everyday. They still have a long way to go, and he isn't out of the woods yet, but Rikki finally has real hope that he will pull out of this. Thanks to everyone for all their support and prayers! You are such a special bunch of people!

Yesterday after Church Hubby took me on my Valentine's date. We went to lunch at a nice restaurant, then took in a matinee. We went to see Meet The Fockers, which managed to crack us both up several times. Hee. I don't watch alot of comedies, but sometimes it is good to just go and have some laughs. We had fun, and it was nice, so yay!

I've finally started making screencaps from my BtVS S7 DVDs, so hopefully soon I'll be able to work on getting some icons made. I like many others don't understand why the frilly heck they put the Bangel kiss with the wonderful Spike quote. It doesn't make any sense, man! Well, at least they put Spuffy on the cover together, with no one else! Spike deserves that at least for being the Champion, and saving the world. *nods*

Well, I guess I better get back to work!

Thank you so much for the update with Rikki's father. I've been too busy with real life to spend much time commenting on LJ, but I've been pulling for him as much as I can with prayers and good thoughts. I'll continue to do so, and hope that Rikki gets a respite from the bad luck soon.

Re. the strange pairing of cap and quote: I just wrote a post about that kiss this morning which you might like (and also explains why the quote fits the image... only I doubt whoever made the cover was thinking about it in that much detail. *sigh*)

Also good news about Rikki's dad. :)

Thanks for linking me to your post. It does make sense, that Spike wasn't really threatened by the kiss, because he really knows Buffy and loves her...but it still irks me!! Grrrrr. It rankles 'cause it feels like a cheap shot to try to cram Captain Forehead into the last ep, and placate all those Bangel shippers out there. Who me, bitter? Hee. :P

Yeah, it is great news about Rikki's Dad. Bless her heart, she has had such a horrible time with illness in her family. I hope that the sweetie gets nothing but good news from now on.

I am having an icon problem...I'm using your "I can beat up your boyfriend" icon, and the text is so clear on it. I'm trying to make an icon using a quote from Bridget Jones' Diary, and I just can't make my text as clear or readable as yours. You wouldn't happen to know what font/font size/technique you used, would you? Your icons are by the far the ones I admire most, so any help from you would mean a lot. Thank you so much!

I know that the font I used is called "Minion", and I always make sure that my "anti-aliased" option for my text is on in my graphics program. That option smooths the text, and keeps it from looking choppy and pixelated. I'm not sure exactly what size I used, I just used the smallest size that was still easy to read. Maybe 50pt or 45pt, I'm not sure.

I hope that helps. Minion is a free font, so you'll just have to do a search for it. I don't remember where I got it though. Thanks for all your kind comments about my icons! I truly appreciate the feedback, and I'm glad to help you anyway I can. :)
