As of tomorrow, I'm on vacation until the second week of December. Yaaaayyyyy! We've got family visiting through after Thanksgiving, so lots of fun stuff will be had. I love the holidays, and being off and able to enjoy it makes it that much better. I'm planning on roasting a turkey, stuffing, broccoli & cheese casserole, and green bean casserole. We are eating dinner at my MIL's and there will also be a ham, creamed potatoes, pumpkin pie, and pecan pie. What's not to love?

Oh, and in the spirit of tradition, I will once again post the infamous Turkey Story for those of you who didn't experience the joy last year. :P

Glad you decided to share that story again because that really is the funniest turkey story ever! :) I can only imagine what your poor dog was thinking as you were chasing her with the turkey! :)

Oh what a joy! Thank you...would feel sorry for dog but years of living with thieving cats and having to cope with the fallout...nah, just gonna laugh. Actually Tuffles (silly name but very crafty cat) didn't even wait for you to turn your back. She had the utter arrogance to walk up to the table and swipe - or attempt to swipe - whatever it was that took her fancy. Reprimands, punishments, yelling...nothing worked. Obviously we needed a turkey.

Yessiree! A turkey spanking would have nipped that right in the bud. :P

See? Don't you feel lucky now for having all those blissful years of never even having to *think* about your turkey having it's a$$? Just taking it completely for granted. :P

LMAO...hoo boy. That had tears streaming down my face. As I didn't have an lj last year, I'm glad you re-posted, because that has got to be the funniest Thanksgiving story I have ever heard. I'm showing it to my mom. She'll get a huge kick out of it.

Oh, and happy Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite holidays too, what with the food and the family (most of whom I really like) and all the rest.

I kid you not--by the halfway point, I had to slap my hand over my mouth to not wake up my toddler in the next room. That is HYSTERICAL!

You've given others the go-ahead to link to your page--you wouldn't mind too terribly if I did, too? I swear it's the funniest thing I've read in months. Bar none. And um...I have quite a few that are LJ-less--could I please, oh please copy and e-mail out to them, too?

You are my HERO. *G*

Poor Doggie. She didn't realize those greasy lips are always a giveaway. She shoulda hired a look out or something. Heh. I bet her macaroni eyebrows were sad that nite.

I giggled all over again even though I know this story by heart. It's too damn funny.
