Shiny New Electronics.

I had my new dish and receiver installed yesterday. Does anybody else move their entertainment centers...and have this moment of horror when you see all the industrial strength dust? *raises hand* Well, that would be me. Thank heavens I moved everything and spied the evil dust, before the tech arrived. I yanked out the vacuum, the dustcloth, and did a superwoman speed cleaning. I ended up pulling out all my electronics and cleaning everything! The install went nice and smooth, and I wasn't embarrassed by dust. Whew!

We got the extra bonus of having the old receiver installed in the master bedroom, so now hubby and I can watch different satellite channels at the same time. Yay! Now, I'm trying to get used to the new remote, and format of the satellite guide.

It looks like it is going to be a gorgeous fall day, and that suits me just fine! I plan on doing some long overdue shopping today, as I really need to get a few pairs of jeans. I hope it doesn't get as annoying as the last time I bought jeans. *crosses finger*

We only recently moved here, so one of the stipulations for letting him get satellite vs cable was we had to have a receiver in our bedroom as well. I sometimes have to watch a good romantic movie, while he has his football.

I completely understand. My husband has this annoying habit of trying to watch 3 or more channels at the same time (usually sports or news channels). He surfs back and forth between them, and it drives me crazy! In the past I've always just gone into the bedroom and watched DVD's or played on my laptop, but now I get to watch the satellite too! Yay! :)
