My icon won first place at i_contest!! W00t! This is the first time I've placed in 1st, so I'm pretty excited about it.

I went to visit my Mom yesterday, and we had a great time. Lots of shopping and lunch out at one of our favorite restaurant.

Today is going to be domestic goddess day around here. I have tons of laundry to get done, plus vacuuming and general cleaning. I imagine I'll be busy most of the day with all of it.

Well, I'm off to make some hot tea to get my day started. :)

Have fun being all domestic today...I'm actually sitting in a v. nice hotel room with high speed wireless internet service playing on my lurvely laptop. Hee! Mike is off to play golf in a bit, and free long distance is included, so you may get a call from me later if your not too busy! :)

I'm sorry I missed you yesterday - I turned the phone ringer off, and the answering maching volume down to take a nap, and forgot to turn them back on! I didn't even realize you had tried to call until almost 10:00 pm. *doh*

I got alot of stuff done around the house though. :)

First off, congrrats on the win. I'm sure you deserved it.

Now, why the subject line you may ask. Or not. Whatever...here's the reason. Do you remember way back I said I'd probably ask you for Photoshop help at some time? Well, the time is now. How do you make a line of text bend? Or stretch it? Or manipulate it full stop? Please, pretty please, can you help?

Hey girl, I hope I can help you. I don't know what version of PS you are using, but I've got PS Elements 2.0. In my version when you select the text option on the side tool bar, text options appear on the menu bar at the top. One of them is called "warp text" which allows you to bend your text into arcs and other shapes.

After I type in my text, and select my pointer tool...then I can grab it, and use the nodes to stretch and manipulate the text to make it wider or taller.

Thank you. Sadly I'm working on an oooooold version of PH (5) and I don't have those options. I've tried playing around with with various options on there and I can warp text up down and side to side but not on a curve :(
