I love the *idea* of snow, it's pretty and I would love to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon watching it snow, while drinking hot cocoa or tea... But in real life I'd hate the cold, wet and having to drive in it. Not to mention I'm so ungraceful that I know I wouldn't last a minute let alone a day with out falling and breaking bones.

But it sure is pretty.

I understand. I don't mind the cold, and I'm not planning on driving in it. Hubby has a 4-wheel drive truck so we're good there. :)

What I like is as long as we don't lose power, I love just to stay home and watch if fall from the windows. I also like to take my 5 year old, Alex, who will be 6 soon, out and throw snowballs at each other. It is such a treat down South! I'm a Dork too! I LOVE SNOW!

We maybe snowed in most of the week because the temperatures are not supposed to rise above freezing until like Thur. or Fri. I think. We have food so we will be fine. Of course there is a Walmart across the street from us. My husband could walk there if he had to.
I'm sure they will clear the main roads as soon as possible. :OP

I'm with you on the power thing. It's no fun if you lose power. Snow is such a treat for those of us who don't get it often. Glad you're enjoying it too! :D

Us too! I am in Chattanooga, TN and it started snowing about midnight here and it is beautiful! We went for years with little to no snow, so when we get it, it is fun! Your pictures look like ours. We are getting 2 to 3 inches, tomorrow could be up to 4 to 6 inches! Well if it goes about 4 I would be surprised.

So funny here, people up North would just laugh at us. We went for some grociers tonight and the shelves were empty and no milk at all! Thank goodness I still have some from about half a gallon from we bought around a week or so that is still good.

Also people panicked here and bought up all the generators in town! LOL!...I know this cause my husband went to buy one too. heeeeeee!

When I woke up this morning, it wasn't snowing anymore, but it looks like we have around 5 inches! It's very true that most Southerners freak out over snow. :) We just can't help it! LOL

I'm so happy for you! We have our first real snow of the season (we had flurries a couple of times but nothing that stuck), and my husband had to snowblow about six inches off the drive. It is beautiful.

Snow is lovely, but the ice that came afterwards was no fun. Left roads in North & Middle GA in a mess! Also, no one here can drive on snow or ice, and we don't really have snow removal equipment or salt trucks. Some places did put down sand for traction, but we stayed home, safe and warm. Heat, lights, cable, food & drink, and a dog and a cat to play with--we were good to go. :)

At any rate, thanks for posting the pictures, and thank you for the Christmas cookie v-gift! :) Hope your winter hols were good! *hugs*

We stayed home for the most part too, one of the benefits of snowy days, IMO. :)
