I hope you all had wonderful birthdays! *hugs*
This weekend was a weird mix of fun, and bleh. Saturday was so much fun, 'cause
angstchic and I were up to our eyeballs in Firefly! YAY!!! We watched Serenity through Out of Gas in one sitting. It was great. Plus, the movie, opening this Friday! W00t! :D
The bleh part came when Hurricane Rita caused my power to go out for about 12 hours starting Sat. night. Bleck. The worst part? No air conditioning - and I'm unbearably hot natured. At least my hubby hooked up generator and kept the refrigerator running, and we had a fan to put in the bedroom. Even with the fan, I didn't sleep well. I can't tell you how glad I was when the power came back on. I was able to make up for the lack of sleep by sleeping most of the day Sunday.
House was amazing. It was even more fun, because
angstchic and I were watching it together via YIM. Hee. This episode was one of the best I've seen in the series, and easily the most moving. I love how he tries so hard to dislike humanity in general, but can't quite shut it all out. He is still touched by those magical people that sometimes drift into one's life. I also couldn't help but be amused by his obvious cold. Complete with sniffling, kleenex, and vaseline applied to his chapped nose. Hee.
Lost was so freaking awesome. I love how they have tied the guy in the hatch back to the guy that Jack met before his future wife received her "miracle". I can't help but think that some how Jack telling that guy at the stadium about his patient is what enabled her to be "fixed". The ties that bind all these people together run so eerily deep. I'm kinda thinking the hatch guy is running the island, from his little underground bunker. Plus, Shannon seeing Walt? OMGosh freaky! I feel like he projected himself there for her to see or something. Gah. She looks like she's about to lose it too, especially when she was trying to explain what she saw. Everyone else already thinks she's nuts.
I was a little disappointed that we didn't get any clues about what happened on the raft, but I assume that will be addressed in the second episode. It can only get more interesting from here.
Gacked from everyone!

Date: 2005-09-27 03:04 am (UTC)And OMGosh Lost! So freaky and so awesome. I'm intrigued by your comment about the miracles...you think there's something supernatural going on with Jack? Hmm...such a fabulous show even if it does make me curl into a little ball on the couch from the creepiness! :)

Date: 2005-09-27 03:22 am (UTC)It just seemed really to be a point that Jack told the guy about his patient, and he asked Jack "Don't you believe in miracles?". Then he goes to the hospital, to tell her she won't walk...and she is "fixed". It really made me start thinking that the guy in the hatch had something to do with it. So much supernatural stuff going on around all the surviors, ya know? *shivers*
Yeah, it's so creepy, it's fun. :P

Date: 2005-09-27 03:51 am (UTC)And how creepy was the Walt thing! Do you think he was actually there, or that he just sort of made her see him...?
Too many questions! :D

Date: 2005-09-28 01:04 am (UTC)The hatch guy is weird! It reminds me of that movie "Blast from the Past" where they lived in a bomb shelter for 25 years and all they had down there with them was stuff from their time period.
I don't know for sure, but I think Walt just made her see him. I could be completely wrong though. :)
This show is a bundle of questions! It makes it fun though! :D

Date: 2005-09-27 09:39 am (UTC)Lost just gets more and more convoluted with everything that happened to everyone before the plan crash coming back around to influence their lives on the island. So freaky and so much fun.
