Well Poo.

I woke up at 3:00 am and thought I had been struck blind. The entire room was pitch, and I mean pitch, black. Our power had gone out. So I dutifully got up and called the power company and reported it. The nice recording notified me that our power should be restored around 6:00 am. I went back to bed. Woke up at 8:00 am...still no power. So I called the nice recording again. Which wasn't so nice this time. It then said 4:00 pm as the restoration time frame. Wah.

Apparently several blocks are out, since even our church had to cancel services because of lack of power. All we've had is some rain for a few days. No big storms or high winds, but apparently a large transformer at a nearby substation blew or something.

So I'm hugging my battery powered laptop possesively. Isn't it funny that the first thing I want to do is come to LJ. Hee.

I'm sure that my hubby will crack and drag out the generator anytime now. He is all upset about missing a baseball game today. The good thing is that if he does that I can surf, and watch DVDs at will.

*sigh* I really want the power to come back on.

ETA: Hubby hooked up the generator, so now I've got all the surf time I want! Yay!

No power sucks! *HUGS* *HUGS* Hang in there, girl! :o) Glad you have your computer! And how nice to have a generator! We never had one of those when I was growing up and really don't have one now! ;o) :o)

The generator is a nice thing, it's huge and a hassle to move around...but it sure comes in handy! :D
