Evil Allergies.

Have been kicking my boo-tay the last couple of days. I'm almost out of my Zyrtek, and I read an article that said that Benadryl could be just as effective as the prescription and/or more expensive over the counter allergy meds. Lets just say don't always believe everything you read. The Benadryl didn't even make a dent in my drainage, and I woke up this morning with the beginnings of a sore throat. I took a Claritin, and luckily it has seemed to help. It looks like I may have to bite the bullet and get my Dr. to prescribe the Zyrtek for me, since I can't take the Claritin for the evenings. It keeps me wired, and unable to sleep. Zyrtek on the other hand makes me sleep like a baby.

I tackled an interesting project today. I single-handedly put together a huge BBQ grill. I had cardboard, and lock washers all over the place. I was so proud of myself for finishing it though, since it will be a pleasant surprise for my hubby, who was dreading figuring it all out. Assembly instructions & husbands are unmixy things around here. :)

Sending get well prayers and hugs to amoonchilde who had been laid low with a nasty sinus infection. *pets her*

I really want to change out my decorations and get my house fixed up for the autumn season. I dread the work of it though, as it always takes most of the day to change everything out. Hopefully, I'll feel more energetic tomorrow than I do at present.

OOo! I almost forgot. I bought the Star Wars Trilogy on DVD yesterday. I'm in the process of having my own little Star Wars marathon as I type. Squeee! *is total nerd*

I heard the dvds look awesome. Also heard that Lucas didn't want them released on dvd for the longest time because he didn't want people to rip him by burning copies. He didn't think that the technology was good enough to protect copyright and didn't care much about VHS since it's going the way of BETA. I guess he came to the conclusion that millions of dollars in the bank right now through dvd sales was better than the hypothetical millions of dollars that he was owed through piracy.

The do look good! The picture is so much clearer, and the colors are so vivid.

Oh...I'm so relieved when people tell me they've looked at the pictures! It took some time to pick through the pictures (there are hundreds) and then to put commentary on them too.

I get a kick out of something as simple as someone commenting that they looked at them. See...I'm a nerd and a dork!

The assembly project was fun, but I think my cordless screwdriver is starting to bite the dust. That makes me sad! I looked at new ones wistfully today. ;)

There is an entire DVD with special features, but I haven't gotten to that yet. :D

My hubby was so surprised that I put it together by myself. Lol. :D

i feel your allergy pain. claritin makes me absolutely crazy. it gives me the shakes and makes it hard for me to breathe...wierd. benedryl only takes the edge off if i take like 2 every 4 hours. maybe i should try zyrtek...i had pretty much given up on breathing out of my nose except from december thru march!!

Hello! *waves* You haven't been around much lately, I'm so glad you popped in. :)

I can take the Claritin fine in the day, just not at night. The Zyrtek makes me so drowsy, as does Drixoral - but both work on the sinus congestion for me. I hope you find something that works for you too! :D
