of a new Hoover Windtunnel Bagless! Jealous? I know you are just seething with the green eyed monster aren't ya? *does the dance of the new vacuum* Hubby and I "test drove" several before deciding on the lucky winner. It is kind of like buying a car, you look at models, and colors, and performance. The hubby was mezmerized by the metallic flecked models. I was mezmerized by the turbo tools. Women are all about performance, men are all visual. Heh. :P

I'm off work today! Yay! That is truly something to celebrate. I get to bond with my new vacuum, and pack for my trip. I also get to run all those pesky last minute errands that need to be tended before one goes on vacation.

It makes me happy that you put so much effort into buying a new vacuum! :) Everyone teased my hubby and I because it took us so long to pick a new one out. Good to know that we're not alone in our strangeness! :)

Appliance shopping is very serious business around here. :) I also spent hours researching different brands on the internet before we even went to the store...so, yeah, you are so not alone! :D

So jealous. ;-)

We just got a new vacuum this week also. Mine is not bagless. Darn it.

Bagless was one of my prime stipulations, along with the turbo tool for pet hair clean up. The last windtunnel I had was a bag upright, and I *hated* changing the bag.

Congratulations on your new vacuum too! :)

Yes I too get excited when we get new household appliances. Strange =) The last was the new dishwasher. Go figure. Enjoy you weekend with the girls. May there be an alpacha farm in your future =P

NO ALPACAS!!! They are evil, and will steal my vacuum cleaning joy!

Hmmm, I guess the last thing I got all about was our air purifiers. It doesn't take much to make me happy! ;)

I am easily pleased as well. You guys have a safe and wonderful time. I don't think alpachas have much use for a vacuum.....but you never know=)

Oh, girl, you are going to LOVE it. There is nothing like a vacuum that can pick up pet hair. I ::heart:: my vacuum cleaner.....finally broke down and splurged on a bagless last year and wow. My carpets have never looked so lint free! :D

OOooo. I lurve the turbo tool thingy. I vacuumed my ever-loving brains out this morning. My carpets look all flufferized!

::snort::

I've got a tiny little family of vacuum cleaners, all kind of colours and sizes (one on each and every storey), none is bagless, but all have these filters and turbo tools - they sound like a roaring ferrari mixed with a starting plane... They could be built much more muted, but everybody wants the loud ones (we're buying a lot of that stuff for building construction/conversion of buildings - so they give us that stuff for free to test it)

OT: While I was "researching" swiss species of animals, I found the following - not swiss - click: Now I am all with you on the alpaca love!
click for a peek Scroll down and have a look at Swiss Pride ::ROTFLMAO::

I have two vacuums, this new upright...and a canister Rainbow. The later does a great job, but is a little more of a hassle to use, since you have to fill a water pan to catch the debris, and it doesn't have all the small attachments to do the detailed cleaning. I love, love, love the bagless option! I hated changing the bag in my old Hoover.

Ack! NO! Alpacas are bad, they are no good! [livejournal.com profile] angstchic is the pervy alpaca fancier! Not me! I am immune to their sinister allure, and fuzzy lips. :P

Mhm. As if...
::points to your icon:: And that would be a Platypus, right?
I think you are at least a closet admirer of the classical beauty that is an alpaca...

Oh, it's an alpaca alright...one that is being mocked mercilessly. That infamous icon was a labor love for the sole purpose to torment [livejournal.com profile] angstchic. Nope....so *not* impressed with alpacas. Evil gassy, spitting, stinky, critters that they are. She's pro-alpaca...I'm anti-alpaca. There's this big loooooong history there.

Ok, if you say so.
::pets you soothingly:: But sooner or later you will grow the balls guts to profess your alpaca love. Don't be afraid, it won't hurt - much.

::has another fit of giggles::

Can't keep up the teasing any longer. I'm dying of laughter here... Better go and sleep now. Ta.

Alpacas suck rocks! I'm not ashamed to say it. Read my lips. NO ALPACAS.

Hee. :P

Am wicked jealous of your high-performance vacuum cleaner purchase! Though, honestly, I hate to vacuum because it was one of my chores growing up. Bleah. It's probably why I have hardwood floors. I just use my Swiffer. Lurve my Swiffer.

But anyhoo, I'm stopping by to both admire your vacuum cleaner selection and wish you a fun and safe trip to Kentucky! Have fun with [livejournal.com profile] amoonchilde, [livejournal.com profile] angstchic and [livejournal.com profile] rikki_oko - I know you will. :) Rikki made my day today with a long and detailed e-mail, giving luscious praise and specific feedback on Five Servings A Day. I was tickled pink and in sore need of such a pick-me-up. (Is it Friday YET?) Give her an extra :squish: for me.

Have a great time!

If it has to do with cleaning...I like it! I'm really weird in that way. ;) I can spend hours in the cleaning supply section of stores. (big honking dweeb)

Awwww! I'm glad you got a nice review from Rikki! I know that you deserve it. I hope your Friday goes well, I'm sorry that you had a bad day. I'll be sure to hug Rikki and AMC for ya! :D
