Real People Wear Jeans Too.
May. 17th, 2004 07:08 pmWhy do jeans for women fall into three catergories?
1. Potential-plumber's-butt hip huggers, that have the much sought after boot cut leg.
2. At-waist jeans that only come in straight or tapered leg.
3. Jeans with elastic waists that come in tapered leg.
Don't these people realize that some people want the boot cut leg look, without the danger of mooning someone! I detest low cut jeans. They never seem to stay where they're supposed too, and I'm constantly having to tug the stupid things up every time I rise from a seated position. I don't want this hassle while on vacation, so I threw caution to the wind and bought below waist jeans a size too large just so I can belt them up closer to my waist. I fly in the face of fashion for comfort, darn it! The day that they start making at-waist boot cut jeans around here, is the day that I'll call in 36 bloody trombones.

Date: 2004-05-18 07:01 am (UTC)I'm a strong advocate of stretchy jean material! I hate the way that denim pinches without it.

Date: 2004-05-18 07:04 am (UTC)I'm only 5'7", but I have long legs, and need something with a 33-34 inch inseam.

Date: 2004-05-18 10:35 pm (UTC)And let's not forget the fourth kind....jeans that fit just below the waist, and are boot cut, so their completely perfect, except you're five foot eight and they hit you three inches above the ankle......
