WriterCon Preparations

I've been working on getting ready for writercon. Yesterday was last minute shopping errands with angstchic. Today I've washed, vacuumed, and Armour-alled my SUV (since I'm driving), I've painted my toenails, and packed most of my clothes. As I've scanned my f-list I've seen other's preparing for the trip as well, upper lips/toes/eyebrows being waxed, plucked and otherwise abused. Legs being shaved, armpits/panties being scrutinized, manicures/pedicures being feverishly performed. We ought to be a smooth, shiny, nicely-pantied, well-exfoliated bunch! Hee :D

I'll be hit and miss on LJ, of course, during writercon....but will likely be the same way for at least the next few weeks afterwards. Hopefully, after that, I'll be able to properly catch up replying to comments, and get back into the routine of attempting to read my flist from time to time. :)

So, the boss was all "How'd the shopping go? Did you have fun?" and I told him we got a lot done but it was work. But I be tired. He seemed confused about the worn-out comment, so then I had to wax poetic about your endless stamina, you know, with the whole 'hunt and gather' bit. Which I did. *Nods*

Can someone tell me what I'm suppose to exfoliate?

I'm currently thinking about painting my toesnails for the first time.. this should be a riot. I'm guessing that drunk monkeys will be able to do a better job then me.

Apparently, there is no shortage of options and depends mostly on your personal pain threshold.

Toenails huh? Well, since my skill of said activity lends itself to something an axe-murderer might possess, I use a glitter polish so I don't have to be um, good at it. :P

Hey, kally is going to wait at the airport till I get in. Do you want me to call you from the Marta stop when I call the hotel for a pick up? That way we can all run around squeeeing in the hotel lobby.

Yeah, that sounds like a good time to do a nose-touch. I know we'll all wanna eat so if everyone is there, it'll be easier. And the lobby-swarm simply must happen as it is an important staple of any Heiferpalooza event. (Ooo! Do you think Kally is okay with the swarming? I guess we could just nod respectfully or something.... :P)

Hmmm. Yeah, I am thinking that we will be showing up anywhere from the 6 to 8 area. Depends the stopping to eat and ease of the drive and all. We will get settled and then see what's going on w/everyone.

And I forgot to say my flight lands at 8:30pm so I'm guessing close to 10 after taking Marta. But we are going to party when we getthere, right?

Oh yeah, no one will be getting back to their respective rooms before 1 or so. We seem to completely sacrifice sleep at these things for some strange reason....
