I'm in a strangely happy place, even though I just found out we are going to have a fairly major part replacement for our air conditioning unit. At least the nice A/C man made it possible for us to have cool air for the time being, until he can get the part replaced.

I cannot stress enough, how...very, VERY, much I love Firefly. It so totally rocks. Fox was [insert derogatory adjective here] to cancel this show. What. Were. They. Thinking. Witty? OMG. Exciting? OMG. Mysterious Secrets? OMG. UST? O.M.G.!! I totally covet these DVDs and thank The Maker that I had sense enough to get them before Serenity was released! I've even got angstchic all about it now. Hee. We are going to have a FF marathon at her house this weekend, and she ordered her own set of DVDs last night! Plus, we are so going to see Serenity together. So there. As a matter of fact, I think I may have even converted amoonchilde on the phone the other night too. She is thinking of getting the DVDs now, lol. I've also been working on a co-worker that has a sci-fi leaning. He wants to borrow my DVDs, and is thinking of seeing Serenity too. I just can't shut up! :D

Plus, I've got a new "House" episode tonight to enjoy too. EEEEeeee! House has yet to fail to entertain me, and I know that is part of what has me so good moody.

Even though "Bones" didn't do much for me last week, I'll probably give it a chance, simply because it comes on right before House. Maybe it will improve, one can always hope. ;)

Oh, Firefly love! The more I watch this show, the more I just love it to death. It's great to see other people discovering it. Especially right before the premiere. You timed it just right...

And yea, the FOX hate is strong as hell, and I don't think I will ever forgive them. I feel fine holding a grudge against them for the rest of my life. Not at all a problem.

FOX, in their stupidity, didn't realize what a gem they threw away. At least all us Browncoats can laugh now that Universal is going to be picking up the movie profits. That probably kills FOX now. ;)

I'm so bummed, I watched Bones and House last week and loved House and now I'm into rehearsals for Crucible and can't watch it anymore. Cranky now!!

Awww! Sorry that you're having a conflict with watching House. :( But the theatre is fun, fun! You should tape House, or something, though...this last episode was awesome. I've really enjoyed this show since I started watching it last season.

Bones I can take or leave at this point. I'm pretty much watching it because it comes on right before House, but the first two eps haven't really grabbed me like I had hoped.

Yeah, the previews for this epiode of House looked awesome. *grumble* I don't know how to program our VCR at this point. I moved in with my boyfriend and of course his home entertainment system resembles the launch controls at NASA. *rolls eyes* Boys. ;)
Oh well, I've put House season 1 on my Amazon wishlist and will probably do the same when season 2 comes out. :)

'Firefly' is just one of those shows. I bought the DVDs last year - and then got them for my younger b-i-l for his birthday a few months later. I think he watched all of them within about 3 days and then proceeded to make all his friends watch too! ;)

I have also realised that when the movie comes out I'm going to have a *tiny* baby... eeek! I'll have to work something out! (And this icon is too gorgeous for words!)

You're right, it is just a special show! The first ep I ever saw was Shindig...and right away I was totally hooked. That is something that rarely happens in just one episode for me. These characters are just so special, and the bonds that show on screen...make this show a gem.

Fox must be kicking themselves for cancelling FF, with the screenings of Serenity selling out like crazy. I hope the movie makes an obscene amount of money, to add insult to injury for them. ;)

The only downside of the movie coming out (and this is a minor thing) is that, I believe, lots and lots of folks will go and buy the boxset, profits from which go to those muppets at Fox who cancelled it!
However, if it makes this thing live on, it has to be good. I just don't want to give them money, even though they gave DB a job. Don't even get me started on the WB......
By the way, I love this icon you made, but I can't get the credit for you to come up, even though it's in keywords and comments. :(

You're right...It is too bad that Fox can still profit from the boxed set, but in the spirit of optimisim...I like to hope that they are thinking of all the money they could have made if they had more seasons to sell on DVD. ;) The very success of the box set is a slap in the face of their decision to cancel. Hopefully, the money they make isn't nearly enough to soothe their pain. :P

I'm hoping, and it may be an empty hope, that the movie (which will be a raging success)...will draw the interest of a motivated network, and they will want to resurrect the TV series! *hopes desperately* I'll be glad with any sequels to the movie too, which I hear is a very real possiblity. As long as we can get our "fix" one way or another, I'll be pleased. :D

Oh, I forgot to mention...don't worry about the icon not showing credit on "mouse over". I don't know how in the world to get that to work.
