Thanks so much for the lovely feedback. I'm glad you like the aged look I've been playing with.

I don't have any tutorials, but I can tell you how I do it. I've got a textured brush set I downloaded from Adobe Studio Exchange called Vasu Backgrounds. I mainly use the first two textures. One is very evenly textured, and semi-translucent. The other is more detailed, with darker, and lighter areas. The misting effect is the first brush, the heavier textured look is the second brush. I use lighter colors in yellow or ecru, with these brushes, to get the aged tint. Basically I add a new layer to the icon to add each effect. That way if I don't like the way it looks, I can delete it without disturbing the finished layers. That is basically it. I just play with the effects until I like what I see. I hope that this helps. :)

Oh hon. I don't know how you know that I needed some of your icons tonight, but I am just glad you did! After some serious crap at work, I was tired, cranky and all around unpleasant. But NOW...now that it is Friday night and I have *sigh* Intervention icons to play with ! YAY! :)

Let me see! I love the style of these - you do it better than most I've seen, with the muted colors. I better get to snagging! (50 icons is NOT enough!)

#1. I mean, ahem. WOW. I have always loved this scene for both the droolworthy-ness of Spike and for it being quite naughty. :) And you've caught it perfectly. Love it.

#3. This takes me back to the end of Intervention and how amazing that scene was to me. And the design is great - like the combo of script and block text especially. Lovely!

#12. Yes. I am. (And my first ever Glory icon, because of its perfection in both execution and cap chosen!)

#13. Because if Spike's hair had stayed that way, I would have been a VERY happy girl. GUH. Thank you.

#14. So sue me. I like Spike in chains. It's a thing, right?? This is great cap selection (I can tell you are having fun with your screencapping software!!) and wonderful composition!

Interventions is one of my favorite episodes! I've been wanting some icons from it and these are beautiful. I especially love the bedhead Spike and the Spike in chains ones. Very nice.

I tried my hand at making icons yesterday. Came up with a rather sad attempt using Spike from Lessons with the words 'bedhead of redemption' underneath. I'm going to leave the iconmaking to the experts from now on.

I'm snagging #12-15, 19, 20 for future use. Will credit and praise.
