Secondly, I'm admitting in a public forum - I HATE having to call tech support. There, I said it. I'll wrestle with my hardware/software....I'll coax it, I'll yell at it. I'll physically shake it. I'll tirelessly search the internet for a solution, but don't make me call tech support!! I don't know why I have this aversion to tech support, I just have always hated calling.
Well, lucky me, I've had ethernet problems at work. My computer and a certain (now hated) printer can't see each other. I've tried everything I can think of. (see above list) I glare at the tech support number. Grrr. I try everything listed AGAIN.
Finally, I admit defeat. NOT gracefully, mind you, but defeat nontheless. I. Call. Tech. Support. (yes, it is almost physically painful) Guess what? After all that, they tell me my printer is out of warranty, and I'll have to pay a tech support FEE. Fee? Whatthefrillyheck!!??!! As if I needed another reason to hate calling tech support, now it is gonna cost us money? *headdesk* I told them I needed to call back later, much...later.
I decided I needed to have some sleep between that little revelation, and actually speaking to a tech. They can thank their lucky stars for small favors. :P
