First off I've got PMS. Wheee! Aren't you jealous? *glowers*

Secondly, I'm admitting in a public forum - I HATE having to call tech support. There, I said it. I'll wrestle with my hardware/software....I'll coax it, I'll yell at it. I'll physically shake it. I'll tirelessly search the internet for a solution, but don't make me call tech support!! I don't know why I have this aversion to tech support, I just have always hated calling.

Well, lucky me, I've had ethernet problems at work. My computer and a certain (now hated) printer can't see each other. I've tried everything I can think of. (see above list) I glare at the tech support number. Grrr. I try everything listed AGAIN.

Finally, I admit defeat. NOT gracefully, mind you, but defeat nontheless. I. Call. Tech. Support. (yes, it is almost physically painful) Guess what? After all that, they tell me my printer is out of warranty, and I'll have to pay a tech support FEE. Fee? Whatthefrillyheck!!??!! As if I needed another reason to hate calling tech support, now it is gonna cost us money? *headdesk* I told them I needed to call back later, much...later.

I decided I needed to have some sleep between that little revelation, and actually speaking to a tech. They can thank their lucky stars for small favors. :P

Thank you. I actually talked to a tech today, who was very nice, and extremely helpful! I'm all fixed up now. :D

I hope you guys can get your stuff lined out at work soon too!

A monkey-wrench was tossed in for good measure today before leaving. I was happy with all that I had gotten done until then. Oh well such is life. Have a great night=)

I'm sorry you're so pissed, my comp always breaks down cause the conection's weak and the printer hates color. Never called tech though, I just yell the both of them and wait until they decide to like me again, temporarily.

Hope you can find a solution with minimal pay. :)

Thank you for the understanding. Comp problems just have a frustrating way of getting under my skin!

OOoo! I forget to add, turns out the printer was under a repair warranty after all...so free tech support for 3 months! Yay! :)

I'm on the other side of the PMS trip right now, but I know your pain. Intimately. I also know the pain of calling tech support. In my experience, it's iffy. Half the time you get someone who can help and knows what they're doing. The other half of the time you get someone whose job seems solely to make sure you cry or scream or kill your computer.

I'll be so glad when I emerge from PMS. It seems to make everything more annoying, and difficult. :) I'm glad that you are on the other side of yours already.

Yes, you are so right about tech support. It truly sucks when they don't even know how to help you. It makes it so tedious. Fortunately, this time the tech was very knowledgeable, and solved my problem in record time! So at least it ended up being a good experience.

Girl, we had the gamut of work tech problems haven't we. Some of my most unfavorite ones were when I worked where you are. :P

Surprisingly, the tech call went extremely well. The guy was totally knowledgeable, and fixed my problem quickly. He knew his stuff. So, yay!
