I tried to stay up last night and follow the election coverage, but I konked out around 10:30. Yeah, I'm a wimp.

I got up first thing this morning, and turned on FOXnews. I've had this unerring Presidential Radar since Jimmy Carter won, and I've always correctly picked the winner before the election. This election I believed that President Bush would win, and according to what I'm seeing on FOXnews, it is looking like my record will remain unbroken. I'm hoping and praying that once it is all said and done there will be an uncontested margin.

I stayed up until around midnite. I could not quite watching. I will be paying for this today, I am sure.

Wow, you hung in there. Go you! I hope you aren't too tired today.

I was surprised that I fell asleep so quickly. I was so excited about the results, but I just couldn't keep my eye-peepers open!

Yeah, I couldn't help it. And I am so glad it is over now. I have to say that it was a good first-time experience for me, over all.

It's weird, caring this much about something I never gave 2 hoots about before. Now I just have to be terrified I will suddenly develop this desire to watch football or something. Gah!

Yeah, the whole voting thing is cool, innit? I liked being involved last election too.

I was up until midnight. Then I tried to sleep. But I kept unintentionally waking up every hour, so I turned on the TV and checked every hour until 6 a.m. When I woke up at 8 a.m., I was surprised by what I saw: "Too close to call." Why do I have a feeling that if the results were reversed, that person would be the winner and there'd be no disputes?

I'm really hoping that this is all wrapped up today. I don't see how the Kerry camp can win Ohio. Bush has a good lead, and I doubt that there are enough provisional ballot votes for Kerry to overtake him. I mean nearly all the provisional votes would have to be for Kerry for him to even have a slim chance, and obviously there will be Bush votes there too. So it looks like fading hope to me.

Looks like we're going to get our wish and have everything wrapped up by 1 p.m. Boston.com says that Kerry called and congratulated Bush and is conceding the state of Ohio.

I saw that on FN and I'm so glad that Kerry is being a big enough man to concede. Now he and Bush need to set to healing the divisions in the country. We are all americans, after all.

I'm glad it's over.
I've been worried for weeks.
