Stupid Day.

It is amazing how one thing going wrong can mess up your entire day. I got up this morning, and planned to hit the grocery store early. I wanted to get the ingredients to make my Mom's famous eggrolls for dinner. I noticed that it seemed kind of stuffy in the house, and checked the air conditioner. It wasn't working. I totally freak. I *hate* being hot, and it has been so humid during the day here. I call the heating & air guy, and had to leave a message for him. Two hours later he called me back, and said he would try to get a guy to come out in the afternoon. I rush to the grocery store to get my stuff, and hurry back since I have no idea when the guy is going to show. All afternoon, it's hot in the house, I'm miserable, and I can't relax cause I'm waiting on the guy to show. He doesn't even get here until after 5 pm. *sigh*

Luckily, the problem was easily fixed, (a bad connection had to be rewired) and I had my air back on in about 30 minutes after his arrival. I finally got some of my dometic duties done once it was comfortable to work in the house again, and my eggrolls were a complete success! Yum. I'm completely wiped out now though. I guess spending the entire day keyed up did it to me.

At least I cooked a good dinner, and posted my Thanksgiving icons...but I still feel like my entire day was robbed. Wah.

It was just yuck. The air guy said that it was probably residual damage from the lighting that took out our air unit last year.

I'm going to be a complete vegetable tomorrow. I think I've earned it.

You're quite right, that does sound like a crappy day. I fortunately don't need my air conditioner at this point in fall, but if that had happened to me during the summer, I would have not been having much fun at all.

I want yummy egg rolls now. You make me all envious.

My mom has always made awesome egg rolls, but I never tried to make them myself. I have had her recipe for years, but only just now tried it out. They are pretty simple actually, they just have some prep time with all the rolling. ;)
